Contact Progress DataDirect Sales to obtain a key to upgrade evaluation version or to extend evaluation period.

On Windows:
1. Log on as a user with local administration rights.
2. From the Start menu, select DataDirect SequeLink 6.0 Service for <database name> / DataDirect Technologies Product Registration.
■ Select the product with Universal in the product name if using a single key for multiple platforms.
■ Select the option with WINNT in the product name if using a platform-specific key.
3. Enter the serial number and key, and follow the instructions.
OR
1. After opening Add or Remove Programs, select the appropriate SequeLink Server application and click Change/Modify. This displays the DataDirect SequeLink Setup Welcome window. Click Next to display the Program Maintenance window.
2. Select Modify on the Program Maintenance window. Then, click Next to continue. The Licensing Information window appears.
3. On the Licensing Information window, type name, the company name, the serial number, and key in the appropriate fields. 
Then, click Next. The Destination window appears. 
4. The Destination Folder window allows to change the installation directory from the default location. This is optional.
To change the installation directory, click Change and select the new installation directory path. Then, click OK to return to the Destination Folder window. 
5. Click Next. The Ready to Modify the Program window appears. 
6. The Ready to Modify the Program window provides the opportunity to click back through the Setup windows and make any changes or corrections. When satisfied with installation option selections, click Install to begin the installation.
7. When the installation finishes, the InstallShield Wizard Completed window appears. Click Finish to exit Setup.
 
On UNIX :-
1. Log on as root.
2. Change to the ipe subdirectory of SequeLink installation directory. For example:
dvd /usr/slserver/ipe 
3. Run the ipeexeu.sh shell script. For example:
./ipeexeu.sh 
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to provide the serial number and key.

** After upgrading the license, stop and restart all SequeLink Services so that they pick up the updated license.

Documentation defect PSC00283314 was filed to add information about using the Product Registration tool on Windows to upgrade from an evaluation copy in the DataDirect SequeLink Installation Guide.
