Question/Problem Description
Connect for ODBC PostgreSQL Wire Protocol driver configured with SSL fails to connect to PostgreSQL database. This works with version 06.10.0052 (B0044, U0024).

Error Message[DataDirect][ODBC PostgreSQL Wire Protocol driver]Seeding the PRNG failed, most likely because the system does not have /dev/random.

Fixed in hot fix 07.10.0083 (B0113, U0074).
 
Refer to  Connect and Connect64 for ODBC hot fix download and install instructions for instructions on how to download and install the hot fix.
Workaround
Connect using driver version 7.0 without SSL.
