Question/Problem Description
A select statement with a constant as Datetime returns the below error.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
1. Create the following table:

Create table Test_Src (Sample_ID int, Effective_From_Date datetime) 
insert into Test_Src values (1,'01/31/2000 01:01:01')


2. Execute the following select statement using SQLExecDirect, SQLBindCol(SQL_C_TIMESTAMP) and SQLExtendedFetch:

SELECT Sample_Id,'01/31/2000 01:01:01' as Effective_From_Date FROM Test_Src

Cause
According to the ODBC specification, the Timestamp format is yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss, not mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss.
Resolution
Specify:

SELECT Sample_Id, '2000-01-31 01:01:01' as Effective_From_Date FROM Test_Src 

It was determined that the Progress Product is functioning as designed.

An enhancement to the product can be requested through the Progress Community via an Ideas submission to get another format supported.
