Resolution
There is nothing within the driver that would restrict connections to the database. Multiple simultaneous sessions should be able to be created off the same data source. The only time a hang condition may occur is when two clients are accessing the same record and 1 client has the record locked. There should be no issues where 2 or more clients are just reading (select statement) on the same records.
