Question/Problem Description
Connect for JDBC SQL Server driver does not use the default location for krb5.conf file. The driver changes the properties for the file location to the directory where the JDBC driver exists.

This can cause problems in environment where multiple applications rely on a central environment; such as an application server.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error MessageA username was not specified and the driver could not establish a connection using Kerberos (type 4) integrated security: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Fail to create credential. (63) - No service creds)
Defect NumberDefect 42603
Enhancement Number
Cause
The driver was modifying the JVM system properties to change the default location of the krb5.conf file. (krb5.ini on Windows)
Resolution
Fixed in hotfix version 5.1.4.000162

Notes
Now the driver will report an error similar to the following if the krb5.conf (krb5.ini on Windows) cannot be found in the default location:
