Cause
Connect for ODBC 5.3 is not certified against SQL Server 2016. The highest version certified with Connect for ODBC 5.3 is SQL Server 2005.
Resolution
Progress Software has not certified or done any testing with Connect for ODBC 5.3 against SQL Server 2016.

A user may use it and test to see if it works. If it does, the user may continue using it.
In case of any issues that arise, the user will have to upgrade to the latest hot fix version that is certified against SQL Server 2016 to see if the issue is resolved or if it still reproduces be able to file a defect and obtain a hot fix.
