Question/Problem Description

A licensed installation of Amazon Redshift driver using the installer fails with error.

Steps to Reproduce1) Uncompress PROGRESS_DATADIRECT_ODBC_REDSHIFT_7.1.5.HOTFIX_SOL_64.tar.Z

2) tar -xvf PROGRESS_DATADIRECT_ODBC_REDSHIFT_7.1.5.HOTFIX_SOL_64.tar

3) Run installer
./PROGRESS_DATADIRECT_ODBC_7.1_SOL_64_INSTALL.bin -i console

4) Accept license and provide the IPE KEY details

5) Observed results: Installation fails with Error "Error writing LaunchAnywhere components (Access Denied)"
Expected results: Installation should complete successfully
Clarifying Information

The error doesn't make a lot of sense, since the user is installing as root and has full rights everywhere.

Cause

Issue with the installer when using a particular IPEKEY/Control#/License key.

Resolution

Use the Connect/Conenct64 for ODBC Amazon Redshift installer released on or after 2/12/2016.
