Question/Problem Description
Connection fails when connecting to Oracle RAC using failover while using the Progress DataDirect ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver
Steps to ReproduceTest scenario:
- Make a connection to the Oracle RAC system which connects to Node 1 (Node 2 is current off line)
- Disconnect
- Shut down Node 1
- Startup Node 2
- Make a new connection to the Oracle RAC system expecting a connection to Node 2 (Node 1 is offline)
- Connection fails

Resolution
This is not a driver issue, it is an Oracle RAC configuration issue. 
A possible cause is the Oracle listeners are not aware of each node.
