Question/Problem Description
Connect for ODBC driver behavior changes when connection parameters are given in curley brackets.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
The application uses SQLDriverConnect to connect and curly braces are used to specify connect options.
Data corrutption is seen when using Oracle NLS_CHARACTERSET KO16KSC5601
Error Message
Defect NumberXDBC-15921(DB2), XDBC-16965(SQL Server), XDBC-16966(Sybase), XDBC-16967(Informix), XDBC-16968(Teradata)
Enhancement Number
Cause
When the driver uses SQLDriverConnect to connect and curly braces are used to specify connect option values in the connection string, it resulted in buffer ratios that were 3 times larger than without curly braces.
Resolution
This fix is contained in code shared between many of the drivers. The following drivers have the hot fix.
