Question/Problem Description
FATAL ERROR EDI dialect error occurs when using the Connect for XML Converters product.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
If a program throw an exception along the lines of "com.ddtek.xmlconverter.adapter.edi.EDIConverterException: [DDEF0037] FATAL ERROR EDI dialect <AnalyzeReport> not supported at this time" it means that the program in question has connected the output of the analysis directly to the input of a converter.
Note that the analysis report contains several embedded EDI documents as well as a status report, so it itself is not directly convertible to EDI.

Cause
If a program throw an exception along the lines of "com.ddtek.xmlconverter.adapter.edi.EDIConverterException: [DDEF0037] FATAL ERROR EDI dialect <AnalyzeReport> not supported at this time" it means that the program in question has connected the output of the analysis directly to the input of a converter which is not supported.
Note that the analysis report contains several embedded EDI documents as well as a status report, so it itself is not directly convertible to EDI.
Resolution
The response message must be extracted from the report before conerting to EDI.

For additional information see the documentation at http://media.datadirect.com/download/docs/xmlconverters/java/xmlconverters_ug/validating_edi.5.4.html which explains this in detail and example 14 included with Connect for XML Cconverters provides a demonstration how to extract the response messages from the report, and convert them to EDI.
