Question/Problem Description

The below error is received when calling a function and a BINARY data type is used.

Steps to Reproduce

Clarifying Information

1. Create the following function:

CREATE FUNCTION wj_dddriver_binary_func
(@d_in binary(6),@d_out binary(6))
RETURNS VARCHAR(20)
AS
BEGIN
/* Function body */
set @d_out=@d_in;
RETURN null
END

2. Execute the function as follows:

cs = con.prepareCall("{? = call dbo.wj_dbdriver_simple_pro;1(?,?)}");

cs.setObject(3, null);
cs.setObject(2, "0103",Types.BINARY);
cs.registerOutParameter(1, Types.VARCHAR);

cs.execute();

Error Message	[DataDirect][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Implicit conversion from data type nvarchar to binary is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query.
