Insert into Impala database causes "Possible loss of precision for target table" error when using the Connect for JDBC Impala driver
Steps to ReproduceCREATE TABLE TableName (CoulumnName varchar(50)
INSERT INTO TableName VALUES('ABCD')
Clarifying Information
The column referenced in the error is a varchar column.

Expression ''ABCD'' (type: STRING) would need to be cast to VARCHAR(50) for column 'ColumnName'

Resolution
The driver is working as designed. The insert value must be cast as the error indicates. There is no SQLPrepare so the driver does not know the data type of the column or its length. 
Example: INSERT INTO TableName VALUES(CAST ('ABCD' AS VARCHAR (50)))
