Question/Problem Description
While upgrading the HDP Server from a lower version, is it required to upgrade the JDBC driver for HDP
Steps to Reproduce1. Install HDP Server 4.2.1
2. Create a Data Source in the HDP Server with d2cadmin/d2cuser user.
3. With the redist files obtained from the above installation, install JDBC driver for HDP 4.2
4. Verify that the connection to the newly created Data Source in HDP using the JDBC driver for HDP 4.2 from the TestforJDBC tool is successful.
5. Now, upgrade the HDP Server to 4.3
6. Try the connection now with TestForJDBC and see that it is successful.

Upgrading the HDP Server from 4.2.1 to 4.3 does not require the upgrade of Hybrid Data Pipeline driver for JDBC. The JDBC driver remains 4.2.1 even after the upgrade of HDP server.
