Question/Problem Description
JDBC connections can be made using SSL with and without a trusstore password while using the Connect for JDBC drivers.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
The trusstore is built using the Java "keytool" utility.
A password was created for the trusstore when built.
A connection can be made without specifying the password connect option.

This is expected behavior. 
Resolution
The keytool shows the -storepass argument is meant for protecting the integrity of the jks file and not necessarily for preventing the file from being read unless the password is specified.

A simple test not using the DataDirect driver. Run a keytool list and don't provide the password. The file will be opened without the password specified.

keytool -list -v -keystore Mytrusstore
Enter keystore password:
