Question/Problem Description
The JDBC Informix driver driver returns an uninformative error message if the application attempts to query a table containing a BIGINT.
The Informix driver does not support the BIGINT data type. Querying a table that contains a BIGINT column returns the error below.
Steps to ReproduceExecute a select statement against a table that contains a BIGINT column.

Cause
There was no error message defined in the driver for this error.
Resolution
Fixed in hot fix 5.1.4.000092 (F000280.U000123).
