URL NameNo-message-is-returned-that-MySQL-ODBC-driver-does-not-support-streaming-option
Article Number000183209
EnvironmentProduct : Connect for ODBC MySQL Wire Protocol driver
Version : All supported versions
Database : MySQL
OS : All supported platforms
Application : All supported applications
Question/Problem Description
The Connect for ODBC drivers do not support ODBC 3.8 feature : SQL_PARAM_INPUT_OUTPUT_STREAM.
When this type is used in SQLBindParameter, SQL_SUCCESS instead of a message is returned.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error Message
Defect NumberDefect 40968
Enhancement Number
Cause
SQLBindParameter() does not check, whether the paramType is supported by driver or not. Though SQLBindParameter() runs successfully, SQLExecute returns with status SQL_NEED_DATA.
Which is not correct, because if driver does not support STREAM option, then driver should return error.
Resolution
Fixed in hot fix 07.16.0180.
Refer to Connect for ODBC and Connect64 hot fix download and install instructions for instructions on how to download and install the hot fix.
