Defect Number
Enhancement Number
Cause
In the beginning of installation process, InstallAnywhere attempts to create a file in the user's home directory and acquire a lock on it to detect multiple launches of same installer. The directory to create this lock file is not configurable. If there is no user home directory or if the user does not have permissions to write to the home directory, the installer cannot create the lock file and throws an error.
Resolution
Create the user's home directory.
If the user's home directory already exists, make sure the user has permission to write to the home directory.
