Question/Problem Description
ODBC connections fail when using IPv6 with a Proxy Server connection using an ODBC Wire Protocol driver.
This does not occur with non-Wire Protocol drivers that support IPv6.

Cause
Curl libraries are used to to forward the Proxy Server connection. The Curl library version currently used with the DataDirect drivers does not support IPv6 Addresses so the ODBC Wire Protocol drivers do not currently support IPv6 addresses in a Proxy Server connection.
Resolution
An enhancement has been requested for the ODBC Wire Protocol drivers to support IPv6 addresses for a Proxy Server option.
