Question/Problem Description
The below error is received when using a self-signed certificate of Oracle Wallet.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error Message[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver]Cannot load trust store.
[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver]ORA-12203: unable to connect to destination

Resolution
Incorrect steps were followed for the configuration. The error is no longer seen when doing the following:

Step1: Create the wallet:

orapki wallet create -wallet /db/ora11db/wallet_ibm -pwd xxx -auto_login_local

Step2: Create self-signed cert:

orapki wallet add -wallet /db/ora11db/wallet_ibm -pwd xxx -dn "CN=RCSESX910" -keysize 1024 -self_signed -validity 3650

Step3: Export the user certificate:

orapki wallet export -wallet /db/ora11db/wallet_ibm -dn "CN=RCSESX910" -cert truststore.cer

Step4: Specify the following in the connection string:

EXTRA_PARAMS='EncryptionMethod=1;ValidateServerCertificate=1;TruststorePassword=xxx;Truststore=C:\OraWallet\truststore.cer'
