Cause

Incorrect Location name entry XXXXXX in odbc.ini file
or
ODBC is not enabled on the database.

 


 
Resolution

Provide the correct location name in the odbc.ini for the DB2 datasource

To determine the correct location name, execute the following :
a] Log into the terminal TN5250 emulator
b] Type the command WRKRDBDIRE 
c] Modify the odbc.ini to include the correct location name

Enable ODBC on the database.


Also, make sure the Location value provided in DSN matches the character set of the database. We can set the character value using the 'CharsetFor65535' option
