Question/Problem Description
The below error is returned when selecting data via DG4ODBC using a database link.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error MessageERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
ORA-02063: preceding line from DG4ODBC

Cause
After looking in the HS trace (enable HS tracing in the initxxx.ora file), below error was observed :
Failed to load ODBC library symbol: /home/users/myuser/odbc64v71/lib/libodbc.so(SQLAllocHandle)

After verifying the path, it was observed the folder myuser didn't had execute privilege for other users.
Resolution
Add execute permissions to the folder where the driver manager (libodbc.so/a) is located.
