Request to support external tables created through Redshift Spectrum with the DataDirect Redshift ODBC driver
Are there plans to support showing Redshift Spectrum tables through the SQLTables result set from the Redshift ODBC driver?  
Are there any limitations around support for Redshift Spectrum?

External tables created via Redshift Spectrum do not show up in the SQLTables call using the DataDirect Redshift ODBC driver

Resolution
The enhancement has been implemented. Upgrade to hot fix 07.16.0178 (B0480, U0335) and 08.00.0256 (B0492, U0342).

Refer to  "Progress DataDirect for ODBC hot fix download and install instructions" for instructions to download and install the hot fix.

Users have to link the clusters to the Spectrum service and create external tables for that service.
Once tables are created, these objects are treated as external tables. For the SQLTables(), the driver checks with the backend for any external schemas attached to this cluster (backend) , and if found, will retrieve those details as well along with regular tables.

There does not seem to be any limitations around the support for this feature. Please contact Progress DataDirect Technical Support to report any issues.
