Question/Problem Description
The below error is seen when executing a select statement.

Cause
The statement contains too many characters.
Resolution
This error is coming from Salesforce, not the driver. Make sure the SOQL statement contains less than 10000 characters.
The limit for Salesforce API version 27 is 10000 characters. Later versions, like v 30.0 have a limit of 20,000 characters.
