Cause
The application reads some records, then builds the create table statement from the records read. The decimal column size is determined from the decimal digits read.
Resolution
The driver is behaving as expected. The driver does not modify, but only passes through the create table statement it receives from the application.
SQLDescribeCol will return results on how the column was built.
