URL NameUnable-to-fetch-all-rows-from-Oracle-system-audit-table
Article Number000128254
EnvironmentProduct: Connect/Connect64 for ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver
Version: 7.1
OS: All supported platforms
Database: Oracle 10g
Application: All supported applications
Question/Problem Description
Partial rows are returned when fetching the data from Oracle 10g system Audit table "SYS"."AUD$" using connect for ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Issue is observed when client and server systems are in different timezone

select action# from "SYS"."AUD$", "SYS"."V_$INSTANCE" WHERE action# IN (1, 12, 51, 53) ORDER BY ACTION# DESC;
Error Message
Defect Number
Enhancement Number
Cause
There is a mismatch between the client machine and database time zones.  By default, the driver queries the client machine operating system for its time zone. If the time zone is not available from the client operating system, the driver defaults to using the setting on the Oracle database.
Resolution
Set driver connection option LocalTimezoneOffset to the time zone of the database.

For Example:
LocalTimezoneOffset=+02:00

The default behavior of the driver takes into account whether the client machine is in daylight saving time or not.
