Question/Problem Description

After calling a stored procedure (Report) in Salesforce, the Connect for ODBC Salesforce driver reports a value of 4 for lLength parameter of SQLDescribeCol.

Cause
This behavior occurs when the stored procedure (Report) does not return any rows. A value of 4 will always be reported for the lLength parameter of the SQLDescribeCol() function unless the stored procedure (Report) returns rows.
Resolution
The driver is performing as designed. Ensure that there are rows returned from the stored procedure before placing value or using the data returned from the SQLDescribeCol() function.
