Question/Problem Description
Connect for JDBC MongoDB driver reports [DataDirect][ODBC MongoDB driver][MongoDB]Error establishing socket. Unknown host: <hostname> upon connection.  Where <hostname> is the hostname of the MongoDB server.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Attempting to use the "ping" command to ping the hostname referred to in the error message fails.

Cause
This problem can occur due to a DNS configuration problem.  If the hostname cannot be resolved, the driver will not be able to connect.
Resolution
Ensure that the hostname can be resovled at the network level.
