Cause
The 32-bit installer is unable to run the packaged Java (32-bit Oracle Java 1.8) on the 64-bit CentOS machine.
Need to have a 32-bit version of Java 1.8 or higher installed and running on that machine.
Resolution
The product documentation for the installer requirement was missing proper information for installing a v8.0 32-bit driver package on a 64-bit Linux machine:

A  documentation defect (XDBC-15765) has been opened to modify the requirement page.
The fix for this issue is expected to be in the upcoming documentation release. The ETA is not known at this time.
