Question/Problem Description
When attempting to fetch data column using the Calendar object from Hive 1.1 (or any version that supports DATE data type) with the Progress DataDirect Connect for JDBC Hive Driver, an exception occurs.

Cause
The driver's implementation for getDate using a Calendar object was not working properly.
Resolution
Fixed in hotfix 5.1.4.000147
