Question/Problem Description
The following error occurs when doing a SSL connection to Oracle 12c using the latest Oracle JDBC driver .
 
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error Message[Oracle JDBC Driver]The server name in the certificate (....) does not match the value specified in the hostNameInCertificate connect option (....).

Cause
The value specified in the connection option hostNameInCertificate does not match the host name specified in the certificate.
Resolution
Make sure the server name in the certificate should match the value specified in the connection option hostNameInCertificate as per the following document:
