Question/Problem Description
getColumns() is not reporting the correct column size and decimal digits for decimal columns with the Connect for JDBC Hive driver.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
If the the following table is created:

CREATE TABLE dectable (col_int INT, col_dec_default DECIMAL, col_dec DECIMAL(30,8))

When calling getColumns(), the following is reported for column size and decimal digits:

COLUMN_SIZE=38; DECIMAL_DIGITS=38;

Instead of

COLUMN_SIZE=30; DECIMAL_DIGITS=8;

Driver was simply handling the meta data incorrectly.
Resolution
Fixed in hotfix 5.1.4.000111
