Question/Problem Description
On Linux the datetime field is returned as type 93 (SQL_TYPE_TIMESTAMP) however on Windows it is returned as 9 (SQL_DATE).
Using SQLColumns(), the data Type DateTime is returned as type 93 (SQL_TYPE_TIMESTAMP)  on Linux and as type 9 (SQL_DATE) on Windows .

Cause
On Linux, the value from DATA_TYPE was used, on Windows, the value from SQL_DATA_TYPE was used.
Make sure to compare the correct resultset columns of SQLColumns().
To get the correct data type, check the DATA_TYPE column (column 5).
Resolution
With ODBC Version 2.*, SQLColumns returns Both on Windows and Linux, DateTime data type is returned as 23.
With ODBC Version 3.0, SQLColumns returns Both on Windows and Linux, DateTime data type is returned as 93.
Workaround
Notes
It is not recommended to use SQLColumns to determine characteristics about a table. Instead, use a dummy query with SQLDescribeCol.
