Question/Problem Description
The Hybrid Data Pipeline installer uses /tmp as the directory to store temporary installation-related files.
Can the installer be made to use a different directory?

Clarifying Information
Some environments do not allow executables to be executed from /tmp.

Override the temp directory used by installer by setting the IATEMPDIR environment variable before running the installer:
export IATEMPDIR=<new temp directory>

For example:
export IATEMPDIR=/home/myuser/iatemp
