Question/Problem Description

Does the Oracle Service Cloud driver support write operations?
Are there are WRITE permission restrictions on the OSC?
Why is WRITE access not supported by the OSC driver?
Problems with writing data using Data Direct HDP with the OSC JDBC driver.

Cause
1. When the configuration property "Oracle Service Cloud Database" is set to "report"[default].
Write operations are NOT supported in "report" mode.
2. The configuration property "Read Only" is enabled/ON.
If it says "ON", the data source is read-only and Write operations are NOT allowed.
Resolution
1. Navigate to your Oracle Service Cloud [OSC] data source.
2. Click on the Advanced Tab.
A. Set the configuration property "Oracle Service Cloud Database" to "Operational".
B. Set the configuration property "Read Only" to OFF/disabled.
