Question/Problem Description
The number of inactive sessions may be found to increase over time while using the Connect products for Oracle.

Cause
Oracle may mark sessions as INACTIVE depending on the condition of the connections to the database. These sessions remain connected to the database with status in v$session of INACTIVE. A program/session may have been started, then left running and idle for an extended period of time. 
Resolution
Here are some potentially helpful links for how to clear inactive sessions.  At this time, there is not a way to clear these sessions that is specific to the Connect Driver software.
