Question/Problem Description
Error occurs when executing a Select query with a Left or Right function in the Order By close using the Connect for JDBC SQL Server driver.
Steps to Reproduce1) Create following table :

CREATE TABLE employees
( employee_id INT NOT NULL,
last_name VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL,
first_name VARCHAR(50),
salary MONEY
);

2) Execute query :

select first_name from employees order by right(first_name, 2) desc
