Question/Problem Description
When attempting to perform a test connection from Hybrid Data Pipeline, login or connection timeout errors occur.
Steps to Reproduce

Cause
The host and or port for the database server may be blocked.  
Resolution
Ensure that the host and port for the database server are reachable and the values specified for host and port are correct.

The Hybrid Data Pipeline and On Premises Connector run as services.  If changes are made to the system that effect connections to the host and port for a host machine, be sure to either restart the services for the HDP and On Premises Connector software or allow for enough time for the changes to propagate to those services.
