Cause
The behavior of calling ObjectId() in a query to MongoDB has the effect of returning uppercase characters within the resulting value.
Resolution
Use the java query function, lower().

For example, a where clause might look like the following:

WHERE column_name = lower(ObjectId("5c5992b70ce4670c4fb34ea1"))
