Question/Problem Description
The instructions given in the article 000082840 ( Connect/Connect64 for ODBC Oracle 12cR2 support ) to connect to Oracle 12cR2 using Oracle ODBC wire protocol 7.1 has been followed.
Still the following error occurred when connecting to Oracle 12cR2 using  branded DataDirect Oracle ODBC Wire Protocol Driver 7.1.6 on a Windows env.

Cause
This error can also occur when driver is unable to find or load the SSL library
Resolution
It was found that  branded driver installation directory was missing the SSL Library.
Make sure the SSL library exist in the branded driver installation.
