Question/Problem Description
When doing a silent unbranded install of SQL Server ODBC driver 32-bit version on a CentOS 7 machine, it failed immediately.
Installation logs showed that the installer was doing a branded install even if the response file shows unbranded installation.
Some example of the error messages are shown below.

Enhancement Number
Cause
The installer was not handling the unbranded install correctly.
Resolution
Fixed in suite installer package PROGRESS_DATADIRECT_ODBC_SQLSERVER_8.0.2.HOTFIX_LINUX_32.tgz which was available after December 21st, 2019.

Refer to “ Connect and Connect64 for ODBC hot fix download and install instructions ” for instructions on how to download and install the hot fix.
