Question/Problem Description
The SSL handshake failed error when multiple parallel connections were made using SQL Server Wire Protocol driver.
Intermittent SSL Handshake failure.

Clarifying Information
Error MessageODBC function "SQLConnect" reported: SQLSTATE = 08S01: Native Error Code = 0:
Msg = [DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]Socket closed.
ODBC function "SQLConnect" reported: SQLSTATE = 08001: Native Error Code = 7570:
Msg = [DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]SSL Handshake Failure reason Unknown SSL Error.
Defect NumberDefect: 65566
Enhancement Number
Cause
In one of the packet, it was identified that driver was sending an incorrect PRELOGIN(0x12) packet with different header/payload size which causes the SSL handshake failure.
 
Resolution
Fixed in hotfix 07.16.0329 and 8.01.0122
Refer to  "Connect and Connect64 for ODBC hot fix download and install instructions" for instructions on how to download and install the hotfix.
