Question/Problem Description
When setting Validate Server Certificate to OFF in the HDP WebUI, the OFF setting does not save correctly.
Steps to ReproduceLog in to the Web UI
Open a data source
Click on the data source Security tab
Set Validate Server Certificate to OFF
Test the connection - connection succeeds
Exit the data source
Navigate to the data source again
Validate Server Certificate is still set to OFF
Test the connection - connection fails
Clarifying Information
Error MessageThere is a problem connecting to the DataSource. SSL handshake failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Cause
The exact cause is not known at this time.
Resolution
Fixed in hot fix 4.5.0.65.

Workaround
In the data source, set Validate Server Certificate to ON, then back to OFF.
After setting the OFF value, do not re-enter the data source again.
Notes
NOTE: Setting Validate Server Certificate to OFF is NOT recommended unless the database is on the local network or the OFF value is set temporarily for testing purposes.
